It's time to do a bigger piece!

This rock comes from the copper mining town of Jerome, AZ not far from where I live here in Flagstaff. I don't know all of the elements that are present in it yet when I do I'll add them to this blog, but I do know that it's gorgeous! It has a brilliant array of reds, purples, blues, greens, browns, and oranges and I'm beginning to cut into it I'm finding all kinds of surprises. Love it.

Although the images I've taken are still only showing the one side of it I'm excited about this piece because it's going to have a side that will be almost untouched, as it gets narrow near the bottom. I'm looking forward to creating something that has an abstract side to it and can't wait to watch the magic as she begins to reveal herself.
